Echoes in the Wilderness
What if the stillness of a forest, the rush of a river, or the hush of a mountain morning could speak to your soul and echo back God’s voice?
Echoes in the Wilderness is a 52-week Christian devotional created to help readers reconnect with the heart of God through the wilds of nature. Designed for those who crave spiritual renewal, deeper faith, and quiet moments of reflection, this book invites readers to pause, breathe, and recognize the nearness of God in everyday surroundings: mountains, forests, rivers, trails, travel, and stillness.
Each weekly entry includes Scripture, a devotional reflection, guided prayer, a bold declaration, a weekly challenge, and a reflection prompt. Through personal stories, nature-based reflections, wisdom, humor, truth, and a touch of poetry, Susan reminds readers that even in wilderness seasons, God is present and speaking through His creation.
This devotional is especially meaningful for Christians seeking nature-inspired spiritual growth, hikers, travelers, outdoor lovers, retreat leaders, small groups, Bible studies, and anyone who wants to become more aware of God’s presence in the world around them.
You do not have to escape your life to find Him. You simply have to notice His divine fingerprints all around you.

Cancer, This Means WAR
Why Cancer, This Means War
In my early 40s, I heard the words nobody ever wants to hear:
You have cancer.
Those words sent my life on a new trajectory.
Cancer deepened my walk with Jesus, fortified my faith, and made me a more passionate and determined prayer warrior. It also gave me a deeper compassion for everyone affected by cancer, whether you are the one fighting, the caregiver standing beside someone you love, or a family member or friend walking alongside them.
My hope is that God will use Cancer, This Means War and the accompanying workbook to help others fight with faith the way He taught me to during my own battle.
To pray boldly for the cancer warriors on the front lines beside you.
To use Scripture to fight the fears that attack your mind at 2 a.m.
To lean into God when the unknown feels overwhelming.
To trust Him above every fearful thought and every difficult doctor’s report.
I feel honored and humbled to have this opportunity to speak into the lives of those facing cancer in whatever form it takes, and my prayer is that these pages will continually point you back to Jesus, His Word, His presence, and the hope we have in Him.
That same heart also led me to open Cancer Care Package, a company created to provide meaningful gifts and encouragement to cancer warriors and the people who love them.
Because nobody should fight cancer alone.
And if you need a prayer warrior beside you in your fight, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would be honored to pray with you and for you.
Nobody fights alone.
With you in this fight,
Susan
