  • Passionate about Jesus, travel, hiking, and helping women connect with their identity in Christ

  • Has a love for cozy corners, pine trees, handwritten prayers, and back roads

Susan C. Flowers is a Christian author, speaker, and retreat leader with a heart for helping women discover their identity in Christ. Married to her best friend for over 30 years and mom to two amazing grown children, she lives life with intention, faith, and a deep love for Jesus.

After 22 years of running a successful gift basket business, Susan stepped into her lifelong passion: writing. What began as childhood poetry turned into journaling, blogging, and now her first book—Echoes in the Wilderness, a 52-week devotional inspired by nature, Scripture, and the still, sacred moments spent in God’s presence.

Whether hiking with her golden retriever, leading retreats in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or sipping coffee after a long prayer walk, Susan believes God speaks through creation—we just have to slow down and listen.

She writes with humor, honesty, and heart—offering grace-filled encouragement for those walking through both the mountaintops and the messy middles of life. Her stories are deeply relatable, often shaped by her own experiences of surrender, growth, and God’s faithfulness. As she puts it, “Some days I’m only standing because of Jesus and Maxwell House.”

A breast cancer survivor, Susan is currently working on a prayer book for cancer patients—a deeply personal project born from the healing she found in praying for others through her own treatment.

When she's not writing, you’ll find her traveling, playing pickleball, hiking, supporting foster families, or managing her cozy vacation rentals along the Florida coast and Georgia mountains. Through every role—wife, mom, mentor, business owner, teacher—her mission remains the same: to help others walk more closely with Jesus and to know they are loved.

As Susan often says, “We’re all caught somewhere in the messy middle. Pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone—just reach for some hands, and follow Jesus out together.” With compassion, depth, and a touch of humor, she reminds us that healing begins when we stop hiding our struggles and start walking in grace. If you're looking for honest encouragement, rooted in truth and offered with heart—you're in the right place.
